A portrait of George Ramos (September 29, 1930 – May 18, 2019), a Tlingit elder from Yakutat, Alaska. One of the last traditional cultural leaders from Yakutat, Ramos was a linguistic expert, community pillar, and dance leader for new generations. This work was created for Ramos' potlatch and honors his life and legacy.
